Architectural Dessert

For the Superbowl I decided to make something delicious and thematic. Instead, I made a cake shaped like a castle. I’m sure some sort of analogy can be made between sports strategy and ancient sieges (like chess’s origins as a military tactics game) but the reality is I saw a cool castle cake somewhere on the internet and stole the idea.

Here's the final result.

It tasted great, with the Hershey’s bricks working just fine in place of icing. I thought cutting it would be a bit of a challenge but it seemed to go ok, though the Oreo towers mostly remained uneaten. Here’re some more shots of the process.
